Gin Kao Gan CookBook

okladki.png

This project was a result of cooperation with Oasis Belgium,  organization supporting people suffering from social exclusion, domestic abuse and human trafficking.  The cookbook consists of recipes provided by Thai women, immigrant in Belgium, supported by the organization.

Drawing on hand motifs abundant in Thai traditional art, the design evokes associations of female community, creativity, and a sense of magic that comes with cooking, brewing, and preparing food. Bold colors relate to joyfulness, optimism, warmth, strength, and courage. I also decided to use linoprinting as a handmade technique that gives a raw, personal touch.
